Regarding the events unfolding since October 7th

In the midst of me creating this site and working on it, Israel suffered a devastating attack by a terrorist organization called "Hamas". As of this moment of writing, 1,400 Israeli civilians have been confirmed murdered, with 240+ more abducted into the Gaza strip, fates unknown.

I've been trying to figure out how to reintroduce myself into society ever since I underwent my latest (successful) spinal cord surgery - March 2023 - a surgery that gave me a new lease on life, a chance to hope, dream and move forward. I was in the middle of recording a translation for a very optimistic Israeli song called "Quiet Days" ("Yamim Shel Sheket") when sirens came blaring and the terrorist attack began.

Ever since then I've been contemplating whether or not to launch this site - honestly, I spent a couple of weeks drained, numb and exhausted, barely leaving my bed. I eventually came to the conclusion I can't keep on uselessly sulking, but I also knew the cards were all shuffled and that I had to find a way to address it all, somehow. The fighting is still continuing, and there's no end in sight.

So instead of going on with my plan of releasing an original & two translations every week, I start off with releasing these 6 translations of songs that I find fit this hellish era.

I dedicate all of them to Daniel Cohen, a true friend, a tender soul, an inspiring musician and a force of light and love, who lost his life in the PsyDuck festival (a smaller festival near where the Nova festival was held, that got a lot less coverage). May his memory be a blessing.

Hoping the abducted civilians will return home safe soon, the fighting to be over as soon as possible with as little innocent casualties as possible, and that from the ashes a new era of true, lasting peace will arise.
